Mini Biography/Testimony

"...Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again,
he cannot see the kingdom of God"

(John 3:3)

"...I am the way, the truth, and the life."
(John 14:6)

"From Rebel to Christian"

Robert B. Terlikowski grew up in communist Poland in catholic family around false doctrines and traditions of men, which in big part (as he realizes now) led him to live an extremely rough way of life. Rebel in nature he went through multitudes of difficulties without knowing how to correctly cope with them. Drugs, alcohol and agressive behavior were among the "medications".

In 1988 Robert came to United States in search of a better living, instead he found himself very disappointed. Different mentality, care for money, discrimination and fast pace living just to name few, were not what he always imagined about America. Surviving in a new world was not easy.

In 1996 Robert's older brother Jarek is brutaly killed. Jarek was also his true friend and supporter. Again, without proper help and guidance Robert's problems, now also including depression drasticaly escalated and in 2003 he ended up in prison. Broken down and helpless there he heard the message of hope and salvation through Jesus Christ. Robert's view of life took a BIG turn.

After his release, Robert searched for Bible believing church. Crossroads Community Cathedral of East Hartford is where he was baptized and his new found faith is being built. Roberts wife Katarzyna also gave her heart to Christ. Their life, although not without "bumps" has a totally different meaning.

Being a self taught musician after 18 years of no contact with instruments, there came the opportunity to be a part of his church's worship team. In 2007 without any experience in music recording, Robert decided to compose and to express through his songs the love, peace and changes that took place after he gave his heart to Jesus Christ, who loves and accepts everyone without partiality.

"I am not perfect, just forgiven"

Why Jesus ?

There are hundreds, if not thousands of books, tapes, cd's, tv shows and such, on how to change your life, make money or find happiness (usually it's about money).  We are brain washed from every direction.  We all want to be like celebrities, wear expensive clothes, drive fancy cars, we try different religions, we slap brand names on everything, even our bodies.  We pretend and try to be someone else or like someone else, our ambitions are eating us up. Do we really hate ourselves so much?!  What about the real me?

My name is Robert B. Terlikowski and I want to be myself, I am a brand name of my own.  Of course, I don't want it to be a license to egoism, it is a sure way to destruction.

If you're still here, you're probably:

* discouraged
* disappointed
* hurt
* confused
* broken hearted
* helpless
* someone I know and you just want to find out what's the big fuss
* or all of the above ....?

Is there anything left in you?...tiny bit? I know there is, read on, there is hope.  English is my second language, so don't expect from me any "big words", this is my down to earth message of hope.

I've searched for over 30 years for something to fill the hole in my heart, I was never satisfied. Money, alcohol, drugs, women, fast cars made me happy for a moment in time. I never listened to my parents advises. Although, I truly believe there is something good in everything, there is a lesson to learn everywhere, as long as you intend to learn that lesson. Nevertheless, no matter where one comes from, how rich or poor one is, how many friends one has or how many books one have read, if there is no peace in ones heart, the happiness will NEVER exist. True peace can only be found through Jesus Christ, He is the source, He is God, He created it all from the beginning and He will end it.
How do you get to know Him? - Through reading the Bible, His letter to you.  Stop telling yourself that you can't understand it, that is what the catholic church through the ages wanted you to think.  YES, my catholic friends, you can go directly to the source, to the Father, stop mocking God, stop bribery. He wants to have a personal relationship with you.  Only God is omnipresent and only He can hear you.  I would like to add at this point that satan and his demons can hear you when they are around, and believe me they are, fortunately not everywhere, and in Jesus name we have power over them.  We read in the Bible: "You are of God little children, and have overcome them (spirits of the Antichrist) , because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world." (1 John 4:4).  The Word of God also say's:  "Litlle children keep yourselves from, idols" (1 John 5:21), need more ?  "For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5).  Did you hear that ?  Not Mary, not Saints, not good works, only one Mediator, Christ Jesus, Alleluja!!!  Speaking of saints, no Pope or any man for that matter can decide who is "The Saint" or not.  Bible clearly say's that all who live in Christ are the saints.  The most beautiful thing is, with His arm stretched wide open He accepts everyone, He is willing to restore you only for the asking.  We are told in the Bible to confess with our mouth to God our faith in the Lord Jesus.  This means to pray to God.

People look on the outside and judge you by your apearence, God looks at your heart and accepts you as you are.  So come on and take a walk on the journey to peacefull and abundant life as Jesus promises and find out what you've been missing.

"...if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."(Romans !0:9)

You can say this simple prayer :

Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God.  Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins.  Please forgive my sins and grant me the gift of eternal life.  I ask You into my heart and life to be my Lord and Savior. I want to serve You always.  Amen.

My friend, if you said this prayer, on the authority of the Bible (Word of God) I can asure you that your sins are forgiven.  You don't have to say 10 or 20 "hailmarys", don't let any priest tell you otherwise, Christ covered them all 2000 years ago, He is not on the cross, He's alive and well.  Alleluja!  Repent and be free!
